 I would like to see some explicit language on your website that shows me that I could not be fired by the union if I don't pay my dues.  Thanks.
 Answer:
 Bob, if we Decertify the union, the union will no longer represent us and it goes away!  No Union – No Contract – No Security Clause - No Dues!  We would no longer be bound by union rule.  We would live under the Civil Service Rules (which, by the way ARE the old Merit System Rules).  And, several other agencies are living under Civil Service Rules and doing just fine.
 If you stop paying your dues while still under union rule, then, there is a "possibility" of the union asking your agency to fire you for non-payment of dues.  That's why we need to decertify the union.
 The only other way to stop paying the union is called non- association.
