Do you want to continue paying for union promises that cannot be guaranteed? Do you want to continue paying for no raises, pay cuts, furlough days, and rising health care costs? If not, you need to stop paying union dues. The only way to legally be able to stop paying union dues is to remove the union as our representative. That's called decertification. If we decertify the union, the union goes away and we can stop paying dues. That's more money in YOUR pocket - not the union's.
To get a decertification vote, we need to first get a "showing of interest" from you that says you want to vote out the union.
To get that "showing of interest", we need to get your signed Decertification Card/Form before the filing deadline (end of March).
Tell you friends and co-workers to do the same - if you tell 10 people and they each tell 10 people and they each tell 10 people, pretty soon we'll have this on the road and we'll have a good fight'n chance to make this happen. But it can't happen without YOU! You need to actively participate. There's a quote I heard some time ago that really tells it like it is.... "The only thing required to allow evil to prevail is that good men do nothing!" You're good people! Don't do nothing - take a stand and get active!
----------------------- The following is more information on how this union has failed to live up to it's promises. There's some history of how state employees (you) we're "wronged" by the very unions who claim they protect us. A lot of it is 6 years old, but it's still the truth. Feel free to browse around and read what really happened!
Unions representing State Employees have no clout. Isn't it the fear of a strike that gives a union it's true power? Did you know that it's against the law for State employees to strike.
Unions representing State Employees can negotiate raises, but, as we have seen, the decision of if state employees actually get a raise is ultimately the decision of the Governor. Just a few years ago, the union negotiated pay raises. That contract was signed by both the union and the Governor. It was ratified by the employees. BUT, when it came time to deliver the raises, the Governor said, sorry, we don't have the money - and that was that! We didn't see a raise then - and we haven't seen one since!
And now, the union has negotiated a 3% pay cut! And, to make us think they went to bat for us, they say they are giving us an extra 5.2 hours of paid leave. That's just smoke and mirrors folks! All that means in that you get a day (5.2 hours) off WITHOUT pay. If you don't use the 5.2 hours, you've then worked for no pay. Bottom line - we're still getting a 3% pay cut!
So are you now ready to DECERTIFY this union who cannot deliver on their promises? If we decertify the union, that means the union goes away and we live under Civil Service rules - which quite a few folks already do and are doing quite nicely.
In the state of Washington, public employee unions -- with help from elected officials in state government in exchange for political donations -- were allowed to require all state employees pay these unions money without a democratic vote. This happened with the full knowledge and support of state elected and administrative officials. We believe that both the U.S. and State of Washington constitutions give each individual he right to freedom of association and the right to due process. We exist for the purpose of preserving the truth about these acts and to work where ever we can to recover our rights and ending ending this politician-sponsored extortion.
So in order to free our conscience that we have done our part to resist we have created this website. Join our resistance, do your small part as explained on these pages, or educate yourself in the history presented here. If you are a state employee, let your voice be heard and counted. Help us coordinate decertification efforts or sign a decertification card yourself. Help us call the vote we were denied 5 years ago. With extorted money which we estimate at $2 million each month for WSFE only the union bosses are fighting us while buying political power to force others into the same indenture. Lastly act individually to not pay the union fees. This is done by filing a letter declaring your non association. You are then required to contribute to a charitable organization the amount of money equal to the union dues.

This window is opening again. We will begin our efforts in July. Please help us by talking to your coworkers. If we are successful, you will not be required to pay the union any money.

The Story of Justice Denied!
Up until July 1, 2005, WE the Washington State employees (who were already represented by a union ? whether we knew it not), had the ?legal? right to vote on whether or not we wanted Union Security in our contracts.WAC-356-42-042/Full Chapter WAC-356
Union Security is the language in the contract that says ?Pay Up or Be Fired?! We were further guaranteed the right to vote on the issue of Union Security by signed agreements between the contract negotiators.(See WPEA Signed Agreement OR WFSE Signed Agreement.)
The Unions ?DENIED? us that vote by disinformation about the vote as well as deliberately holding back information about the vote. The Unions openly admit they denied us that vote as ruled by PERC.(See newsletter1 or newsletter2 here.) PERC Ruled the Unions denied us that vote.(Snipet of RulingORFull Ruling) The remedy to PERC?s ruling was to order a New Vote.(Snipet of Remedy from Ruling) However, the original remedy was replaced with a NEW remedy that didn't remedy anything.That amended remedy simply ordered the Unions to Post an apology and vow to never do that again.(Snipet of Remedy from Amended RulingORFull Amended Ruling) And the message to us poor souls who were DENIED that vote? Just live with it!
IS THAT JUSTICE? ABSOLUTELY NOT! A threat to Justice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.
And until we get that vote, which was promised to us, guaranteed to us, and is our legal, moral and ethical right, Union Security should NEVER be allowed in ANY contract.Not the 2005-2007 contract, not the 2007-2009 contract, not the 2009-2011 contract.No union security until a proper vote has been conducted!
We have fought to get that vote through the ?real? court system.However, it was dismissed due to a technicality.
Since the unions are ?unwilling? to give us that vote, the Decertification Process is the ONLY option left to us.The Decertification Process is a democratic process that gives us three options?
1)We can assert we want to keep the current union as is ? no change
2)We can petition for a new union
3)We can remove a union presence altogether
We get this chance every 2 years.
